Camp Norway – The Pursuit

Camp Norway, Halden

The last session in Camp Norway – chase start with many good runners, was just as expected – hard fight from the beginning to the end. Olav Lundanes and the Swedish sprint-star Kajsa Nilsson won their classes clearly.

Strong runners on the startline.

Emil Wingstedt got the opportunity to start first, after great performance in the sprint-prologue. But it was Lundanes’ day, once again. Olav got a comfortable gap before the last loop, and kept the difference to the Swiss Baptiste Rollier. Wingstedt came third, ahead of Holger Hott.

Among the women, Kajsa Nilsson did a fantastic comeback, after some months off due to injury and surgery. She won ahead of the Norwegian national team runners Mari Fasting and Marianne Andersen.

The first ever Camp Norway was completed with style. Both participants and organisers were satisfied with the innovation, and many are already looking forward to run in the next edition of the camp.

Lundanes' back : this was the scenery from the other runners' point of view.
